Running With Scissors By Annie, a companion to Take a Stand

The Running with Scissors bag features several layered pockets for storage. We will learn to install long zippers, make mesh and vinyl pockets and there are lots of tips for successful binding. This bag also features a pressing pad that protects your tools on the inside. It is meant to lay over the Take a Stand bag or it can be used on it's own. The teacher will contact you prior to class to talk about getting all of your pieces quilted prior to class. The teacher will also have wool balls, charms, and other for cute custom zipper pulls so please bring quarters and ones if you are interested.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: This is a class that requires knowledge of rotary cutting, using a 1/4" foot and sewing through thick layers.
Requirements: Running With Scissors Pattern, materials, zippers and hardware listed on the pattern, a sewing machine in good working order, basic sewing supplies, a 1/4" foot for your machine - Bernina users please bring your 37/37D foot. Long ruler, rotary cutter, blue wash-away pen and/or chalk pencil, paper scissors and sewing scissors, threads and bobbins to match your various fabrics, 80 or 90 microtex needle, pins, wonder clips, a large safety pin and a tube turner if you have one. Optional - bodkin or tube turner, decorative ribbons, trims and embellishments.
