Rag Quilt
Rag quilts are extremely fun to make and a great project for beginners. If using flannel, the fringe will fluff on its’ own OR you will need a Chenille brush if using 100% cotton. A rag quilt can be made with different size and shape blocks. For the class we will be using 5” squares.

Instructor Bio: | Teacher Name: Leora Strong Email Address: leora.strong@outlook.com Phone Number: 256-603-0421 I began sewing when I was 8 years old and was hooked! I also enjoy knitting, crochet, crafts, wood working and pretty much anything that allows me to be creative. When I was 30 I began sewing for the public making evening and day wear. I made cheerleading uniforms for a team of cheerleaders and bought my first Bernina sewing machine and serger from my earnings. I had never quilted until October 2021 when I needed a king size bedspread. That lit a new fire in me and now I am working on a quilt nearly every day. The love of quilting led to buying a long arm which has led back to working for the public! Teaching sewing classes is another outlet for my joy of sewing. |
