| Requirements: | Fabrics: Focus Fabric 1 yard outer border and blocks--use to select additional fabrics Sample uses: Gold/Orange 3-4, 1/3 yard each Aqua 4-5, 1/3 yard each, light, medium and dark Blue 4-5, 1/3 yard each, light, medium and dark Gray/White 2-3, 1/3 yard each, light, medium, dark Neutrals Backing: 1 1/4 yard--may select during Session 3 Binding: 1/2 yard--may select during Session 3 See page 41 of book for additional suggestions Supplies: Book: Start Quilting with Alex Anderson Sewing machine, extension cord, foot control and power cord 1/4 inch foot for your machine, know how to sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam Neutral thread for piecing--beige or grey is best Pins Scissors for fabric and thread Stitch Ripper Paper and Pencil Rotary cutter: make sure blade is sharp Rotary Cutting mat: 18 in x 24 in Rotary Cutting rulers: 6 1/2 in x OR 24 in AND a 6.5 in or larger square ruler--very helpful, Creative Grids or Quilters Select brand recommended Working sewing machine, foot pedal, feet, and power cord. |
