Bernina Machine NEW Owners Class

This class is open to all individuals who purchased their BERNINA at Southern Charm Quilting and are brand new owners. We will be teaching on current models only: B790 PRO B 790 PLUS, B 770 QE, B 770 QE PLUS, B 740, B 590, B 570 QE, B 535, B 480, B475 QE, B 435
Sewing Portion 10am-1pm
Embroidery Portion 1pm-4pm
All other students who didn't buy a machine from us may sign up for the $175 class fee by calling 256-536-3757 and asking for Sue Bartlow or email southerncharmquilting2@gmail.com.
PLEASE NOTE: Please include your machine model in the notes section when you register. Also, we MUST have your phone number and email information as the instructor often needs to contact you prior to the class if changes occur.

If you have a portable device such as a tablet or smart phone, download the workbook on that device too. Most of the "books" have video links that will serve as an amazing resource to you.
What to bring:
- Your new machines and accessories (feet, power cords, etc.) including BSR if you own one. #26 for embroidery
- Embroidery Module and all accessories (if staying for embroidery) 500 series and up
- Mastery workbooks printed and ready as mentioned above.
- Scissors or thread snips
- 80/12 Universal Needle, 80/12 Quilting (Microtex) Needle, 90/14 Quilting Needle, 75/11 Embroidery Needles
- 40wt thread (You will need a bobbin filled with 60wt bottom line thread.) Several colors for embroidery portion.
- 12x12 cotton squares and batting
- 12x12 cotton batting
- Embroidery Hoops that came with your machine, along with the plastic templates and grey clips
- Single hole stitch plate, preferred
- Neutral fabric at least a couple inches larger than your large oval hoop that came with the machine
- Cutaway or tearaway stabilizer, larger that the oval hoop that came with your machine
- Bring Your Lunch
Embroidery Section
We will cover embroidery set-up, features, stabilizer use, accessory use and more. This is a very comprehensive class and the required workbook will complement the class and machine manual. Staff will guide you on a step by step journey into your BERNINA Embroidery Machine capabilities.
