Lori Holt's Home Town Sew Along for Feb-July 2025



We will be making Lori Holt's Home Town Quilt which finishes at 75" x 84". It consists of 12 applique house blocks and 40 pieced quilt blocks. (4 each of 10 different blocks) Each applique block finishes at 14" x 14"and each pieced block finishes at 5" x 5". The sashing and borders are a simple machine pieced setting to compliment the blocks!



Have you ever wanted to learn the easiest way to applique? Come join the fun and fellowship for a year long. In this class we will learn three different ways to applique. We will learn apliquick, freezer paper, and stabilizer method. I will take you on a journey of 12 months to finish this beautiful quilt. 

TOTAL COST for the year is $240. (payable in 6 months at a time)

Apliquick Method

  • 931TD or 911 Pellon (3 yards)
  • Apliquick rods
  • Sewline glue stick
  • Lots and lots of glue refills (either yellow or blue)
  • Mono-poly invisible thread or matching threads (sew down)
  • Matching threads (hand-stitching)

Instructor Bio: Hello! I'm Cindy McAlister. I am a passionate and creative about teaching others skills in quilting. I love the art of blending traditional techniques with contemporary designs, making my classes a delightful fusion of old-world charm and modern flair. I want to encourage others with a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can create their own family heirlooms. I started quilting in 2012 when a friend asked me to go to a quilt shop hop. I fell in love with piecing and all thing related. My very first class I taught was Bee Happy in 2017. I love to teach others and encourage them that they can create their own family heirloom masterpieces.
