Pick A Petal

The popular Pick A Petal quilt featured as the 2024 Block of the Month on QuiltShow.com is coming to Southern Charm Quilting! Learn how to create your own version of Pick A Petal in a five-session class taught by quilt artist Kari Hawkins.

Designed by Jen Kingwell, the Pick A Petal quilt was inspired by this Australian designer's love of flowers. The 72-inch square quilt features a bright and happy scrappy look. It includes machine piecing, machine or hand applique, and hand embroidery embellishments of flowers, butterflies and other garden surprises. The combination of these techniques creates interesting layers of whimsical detail for a one-of-a-kind quilt. Quilt artist Kari Hawkins will guide students along their Pick A Petal journey, sharing techniques and tips to complete their quilt. This quilt is sure to become a family heirloom. Special Note: The pattern and (optional) acrylic template set can be purchased through Southern Charm Quilting. It does take three to four weeks for shipping.
