The GenX Jacket is a casual jacket that goes to the waist, styled after the ubiquitous Western-style jean jacket -- a popular layering staple in many closets for decades. The pattern was based on a unisex and roomy jean jacket, so pattern sizing reflects that. The jacket is intended to be suitable for layering and is not designed to be form-fitting. The jacket includes a full integrated lining and interior pockets with no raw edges or exposed seams inside or out, functional chest pockets on the outside and on the inside of the jacket, and does not have set-in sleeves. Suitable for confident beginners to garment sewing but it is recommended that participants have some experience sewing garments.




Supplies List:
GenX Jacket Pattern (purchased separately)

Yardage for outside AND lining of jacket AND interfacing, as specified for
chosen size on the pattern. **The outside and lining are sewn at the same time so choosing a lining later is not an option.

Basic sewing kit (machine, rulers, scissors, rotary cutter, etc.)

Add-a-quarter ruler for optional foundation paper piecing accents (the foundations are included with the pattern)
