Laura Heine Art Collage Quilt
We will work on any Laura Heine pattern, specifically the Pineapple Pattern. Class will cover the Laura Heine method of collaging, how to create movement, and fabric selection.
Homework: Please watch this video- "Laura Heine Demonstrates Preparing Fabric for Collage Quilts" - YouTube and come to class with steam-a-seam 2 on the back of your fabrics. Bring all supplies to class.
SUPPLY LIST
- Laura Heine Collage pattern
- fabric (there will be limited kits available at the store)
- silicone mat 12" x 18" or larger
- Pattern Ease
- Steam-A-Seam 2
- #2 Pencil or SewLine Trio Marking Pencil
- tweezers
- sharp scissors (I highly suggest a pair of Karen K. Buckley Perfect Scissors (medium or small), and a
- lightbox
- Rotary cutter with new blade and scissors for cutting paper. Refer to the back of pattern for specific requirements for fabric yardage and other specific supplies for your pattern. You do not need to bring a sewing machine to class; you will quilt and bind your collage at home.

If you are choosing a Pattern or kit that is already made and available at Southern Charm Quilting, the supplies will be 20% off. This only applies to Laura Heine items, and only applies to what there currently is in stock. The store is able to special order patterns and kits for you, but the aren't guaranteed to arrive by the time of class and will only be discounted by 10%
