Legit Kits Foundation Piecing

Attend a 2 day (June 18th and July 2nd) Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) class where you’ll learn FPP using the Legit Kits block method. Choose any Legit Kits pattern. If you are new to Legit Kits, you might start with Sail Away, Cardinal, or Bluejay (they are beginner friendly). Throughout the class, you’ll learn multiple ways to organize your fabric, learn tips and tricks for frustration-free sewing, and build the confidence to finish your project on your own. Step-by-step guidance helps you master the methods and procedures that make FPP enjoyable.
Please keep in mind if you are special ordering a kit that the store does not have in stock, please let us know as soon as possible so your kit will arrive in time. We cannot guarantee your kit will be here in time for the class, but if we know in advance we will be able to communicate wait times better as well as place the order sooner.

Supply List:
-Legit Kit including all fabric and pattern pages
-Sewing machine in good working condition, to include foot pedal and power cord.
-Extra needles for your machine, size 70/10 or 80/12.
-Notions typical for your sewing.
-Thread: Light/neutral colored thread, 80-100 weight for piecing and 3-4 loaded bobbins -Fabric scissors
-Paper scissors
-Rotary cutter with new blade
-Small cutting mat
-Mini iron and pressing mat
-Add a Quarter Ruler Plus Ruler for cutting fabric, templates, and trimming blocks (6” x 12” works well).
-Seam ripper
-Tweezers
-Straight pins
-Binding clips
-Clear cellophane tape (such as Scotch brand)
-Notebook and pen for taking notes
-Large 3-ring binder with document protectors for each block -or- filing system to organize your fabrics (see below).
-A piece of template plastic for folding foundation papers (3” x 6” works well).
-Glue Stick
-Varied sizes of zip-lock bags. Snack, quart and gallon sizes.
-Light box (if you already have one.)
-Starch (If you want to starch prior to cutting fabric)
-Clapper - if you have one Any sewing item you cannot sew without.
