The Big Giant Quilted Bow Class
You will learn how to quilt, construct, assemble, and shape your bow for that fabulous oversized finish. We will be constructing the Hybrid option - meaning 1 side Patchwork, and the other side Wholecloth, allowing you to make your bow completely your own.
Fabric Requirements
- Patchwork Side: 1 yard total or 8-FQs or enough fabric to cut 78 - Four inch squares
- Wholecloth Side: 1½ yards of fabric (non-directional is recommended)
Supplies
Pattern Required:The Big Giant Reversible Quilted Bow by Lindsey Grace Creates
- Coordinating thread for piecing and quilting
- Sewing machine in good working order (w/ new needle)
- Walking foot or preferred quilting foot
- Rotary cutter w/ new blade
- Cutting mat (optional - classroom has 2 tables for use)
- Small Iron (optional - classroom has 2 for use)
- Wool Mat (optional)
- Quilting ruler (recommend 6.5" X 24" or 6.5" X 12")
- Fabric scissors
- Pins and/or Clips
- Fabric marking tool (Recommend Roxanne Pencils or Frixion Pen)
- Awl
- Purple Thang or any turning tool
**Included in your class fee will be batting, snaps, rubber bands and zip tie.
IMPORTANT PRE-CLASS PREPARATION
Pre-cutting 78 - 4" squares is required! Stripology XL or Squared Ruler is perfect for this task!
All 4" pieces should be completely cut and ready to sew when you arrive.
Do not begin sewing or assembling your bow before class.
Having everything pre-cut means we can get right to the FUN part—quilting, constructing, assembling, and creating that fabulous BIG GIANT BOW!

| Instructor Bio: | Hi, I’m Jasmin! My love affair with a sewing machine started at age 12 making garments—and somewhere along the way, fabric took over my life! In my early 30s, I discovered quilting, and well… there was no turning back. More fabric, more rulers, more gadgets, and definitely more projects than I’ll ever admit to having in progress! I’m a **self-taught quilter turned instructor** who believes quilting should be fun, approachable, and just the right amount of imperfect. My favorite part of teaching is helping that *“I don’t think I can do this”* turn into *“LOOK WHAT I MADE!”* I love the whole quilty adventure—from piecing the top, to longarming those beautiful stitches, all the way to that final binding. That means when we’re in class together, I’m here to help you understand not just the *how*, but the *why* behind what we’re doing. Whether you’re brand new to quilting, ready to tackle something different, or just want to add another trick to your quilty toolbox, grab your machine and come sew with me! We’ll learn a lot, laugh a lot, probably use the seam ripper at least once…and make something fabulous along the way! |
