Cutting Applique Fabric with Brother Scan N Cut
We will scan the designs and create a cut file. Using prepared fabric we will then cut the shapes. The fabric is prepared with Heat N Bond lite or Hot Fix Adhesive. We will adhere the shapes to our quilt block or design.
Supplies:
- Brother Scan N Cut with power cord and all tools
- Low tack or Fabric mats are required
- Scanning Mat is advised
- Applique Pattern
- The class will have a sample but you may bring one of your own patterns
Materials:
- 2 or 3 Fat Quarters to practice
- You may also bring your focus fabric
*All material must be treated with Heat N Bond Lite (Do not use Featherweight) or heat and Bond Lite applied to the wrong side of the fabric according to manufacturer's instructions. Please leave the backing paper attached.*
Wool and Felt will also work with any DX model machines. Please bring scraps to try out with your machine.
