How It Works

Participants purchase a Brown Bag Mystery kit by selecting a focal fabric — this is the only fabric you see upfront. The rest of the fabrics for the quilt top are a mystery until revealed later.
Once you have your kit, you’ll receive cutting instructions with your bag right away and gain access to Karen’s private Facebook group where the community gathers.
Starting in mid-March and continuing every 2 weeks, pattern “clues” are released either by mail or via video on Facebook. These clues slowly guide you through assembling your quilt blocks without ever revealing the finished design until the final clue — that’s the mystery!

What You Get

All required fabric for the quilt top (finishing size around 60″ × 60″, depending on the year).
Cutting instructions and ongoing pattern clues mailed or picked up.
Entry to the exclusive Facebook group where Karen shares tips, video lessons, and encouragement.
Optional add-ons like border and binding fabric (sold separately) to complete your quilt.
